FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are Chinese motorcycles and scooters reliable?

Chinese brands present in Switzerland go through official importers with approved workshops, parts and warranties managed locally. CFMoto builds engines in partnership with KTM, QJ Motor owns Benelli, and quality improves with every generation. As everywhere, reliability mainly depends on servicing through the official network.

Which license is required for which two-wheeler?

In short: 20 km/h e-scooter — from age 16 without a license, from age 14 with a category M license; 125 cc scooter or motorcycle / max 11 kW — category A1 from age 16; motorcycle up to 35 kW — restricted A (35 kW) from age 18; beyond that — category A after 2 years of unblemished riding experience. Our guide covers each category with official sources (admin.ch).

How does buying through SinoRide work?

SinoRide is not a seller: it is an independent showcase. You compare models with us, then one click takes you to the official importer or its dealer network. You buy at the official price, with the official warranty, with no middleman and no markup.

What about servicing and parts in Switzerland?

Every brand listed with a Swiss presence has an official importer and a network of approved workshops that handle servicing, parts and warranties. Brand pages indicate the importer — check the density of the network in your region before buying.

How is SinoRide funded?

Through premium placements paid for by certain brands and importers (marked with a "Partner" badge) and through the forwarding of quote requests. Basic listing is free for all brands, and the data is independently verified — completeness and accuracy come first.
